construction goals
This beautiful and functional winery was a collaborative effort between architect, owner, winemaker, and general contractor. Large glulam beams expand the roof line which was designed to mimic the rolling landscape. Integrally colored concrete tilt-up walls were set within the hillside. The internal workings of the winery were thoroughly thought through for efficiency without compromising the integrity of the design. This is apparent in the custom glycol manifolds, scalloped catwalks which follow the contour of each tank, and the precast concrete wine library shelving.
